It is reported on June 12, 2007 in The Wall Street Journal that the Federal Judge in the KPMG proceedings has set a Hearing for July 2, 2007. The motions to be heard then are motions directed to payment of the criminal defendants' defense expenses. Those motions raise issues surrounding KPMG paying the defendants' Directors' and Officers' legal expenses, dismissing the indictment due to the reported misconduct of the department of justice, and any other possible remedies. More to come, no doubt.
