The last quarter earnings reported by American International Group had higher Property Premiums outpacing losses from AIG's "consumer finance arm". Share prices rose on the news of 2007 Second Quarter Earnings of $4,280,000,000.00 which increased from 2006 2Q Earnings of $3,190,000.00 much of it due to increased Property Insurance Premiums, AIG reported according to Reuters, "Earnings at A.I.G.
