The magazine "Nature" provides this news summary of a recent U.K. report on Hurricanes, Climate Change and Warming Seas. The news summary is by Quirin Schiermeier, "Stormy Weather/Experts Still Divided on the Link Between Climate Change and Hurricanes" (www.nature.com, Wed., Jan. 30, 2008). This summary of the U.K. researchers' scientific report, also published recently in Nature, provides the researchers' conclusion that Hurricanes have become more frequent and that there is now an increasingly greater number of Cat 4 and Cat 5 Hurricanes.
If those things prove to be true, then Floridians and other citizens of the United States who live near or on the Gulf Coast or the Atlantic Coast in particular, will have more to worry about in the coming years than the upward spiral in Insurance Premiums.
