At least for Municipal Bond Insurance.
The market for Municipal Bond Insurance is way down. Demand has dropped like a stone. Issuers of so-called Municipal Bonds (which include Counties, States, Hospitals, and other government groups authorized to issue bonds rather than assess taxes) in many cases now have higher credit ratings, in the eyes of investors certainly, than many Bond Insurance Companies. Bye, bye Bond Insurance Companies, at least for Munis? It is a possibility.
