Starting on the first day of Summer, 2012, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has called for a "Fortnight of Faith," which will end on the Fourth of July. As residents of the United States, and particularly but not alone for Catholics, this is our opportunity to enjoy the advertising efforts that have gone into this project. This is our opportunity to make the Fortnight of Faith an observance of Truths that have stood for Centuries. As a part of that effort, this post is part of a continuing series of blog posts intended to focus on exactly that, making the next two weeks an observance, not of political disputes, but of universal and eternal truths.
You are the light of the world.
A city built on a hill cannot be hidden.
Neither do people light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick;
And it gives light to All that are in the house.
Let Your Light so shine before people, that they may see your Good Works, and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16.
