Did you see the Super Brawl? The brawl put on by the people of the NFL put the lie to all the p.r. the NFL organization paid for. These people revealed themselves for what they are. Even if they say they do not condone brutal attacks on vulnerable people, they voted with their fists last night.
In case you were among the lucky few who missed it, at the end of the game last night, some of the losing team of thugs delayed the game by fighting with the other team. The losing thugs apparently thought, if at all, that they could delay losing by delaying the game. All that they did was delay the inevitable defeat.
So, how did the popular press headline this event? “A Clash of Titans” reads the headline on SportsMonday in the New York Times. “Patriots’ Day” reads the headline of the Orlando Sentinel Sports Daily Section. The National Public Radio report features the final seconds of play plus the records set in the game by Tom Brady.
Other leading stories include the halftime show and not the final show, the entertainment offered by the TV commercials and not the disgrace displayed on TV by the NFL, and the amazingly poor play-calling by the losing team in the final seconds but not the amazingly low class displayed by the losing team in the final seconds.
The reporting in the popular press is enough to divert the attention of Insurance Claims and Issues Blog from insurable behavior to inexcusable behavior.
