Reports are increasingly frequent about Uber drivers having car accidents involving massive injuries and damages. See, e.g., "Uber Crash in St. Petersburg Leaves Driver and Passenger With Serious Injuries," written by Times Staff (Tampa Bay Times Online, posted Saturday, October 22, 2016).
Just as frequent, it seems, are reports about Uber or Airbnb spending massive amounts of money to challenge the law. See, e.g., Katie Benner, "Airbnb Sues Over New Law Regulating New York Rentals" (New York Times Online, posted Friday, October 21, 2016).
