CYBER-RISK, CIA, AND CYBERINSURANCE.

"CIA" is a quick way to remember the steps to take to reduce risk, in this case, cyber-risk:

• Confidentiality
• Integrity
• Availability

Congratulations are due to the Silicon Valley Law Group for this acronym, which was a part of their presentation during a recent ABA Webinar.

These are steps on the path toward obtaining cyberinsurance in the first place if they are followed and, potentially, on another path toward reducing insurance premiums.
