You were right.

You said that when you first ran for the U.S. Senate in 1996.  That would mean that your 2 terms were up in 2008.

But you stayed around for another decade after that, so far.  It wasn't for the people's sake, that's certain.

Go back to Maine, Senator.  Time to keep that promise.  They have flags for background props there, too, you know.  Even without the props, people will certainly remember what you actually stood for.
