You could look it up. The answer to both questions after my own internet searches is "no."

Second, on national television a Notre Dame defensive tackle tried to help his team win by the only way he clearly thought they could win, by hurting the opposing quarterback and taking him out of the game. It was the only chance that Notre Dame had, he apparently thought. So he roughed the passer on national television, got caught, and predictably added to the yardage of a very big Clemson gain on the play. What does it profit a university to gain the whole world but lose its own soul?
Third, if Notre Dame had complaints about the game, like about the arguably biased officiating of the all-SEC crew of refs, or about the way that the other team was behaving such that Notre Dame's own key players seemed to get hurt with regularity, then they should have complained through channels different than the path that led to the opposing quarterback.
