Thousands of accountants marched for freedom in Hong Kong recently. They marched from a city square to the headquarters of Hong Kong government. "They were the latest profession to back the movement publicly following rallies by lawyers, teachers and medical workers." Associated Press Copyrighted Report, Hong Kong Protestors Form Human Chain to Call For Democracy, Los Angeles Times online Thursday, August 23, 2019.
Think of it. It's hard enough to get lawyers to agree to anything, let alone to march for freedom together. (Remember the old joke? If you put two lawyers in a room, you get three opinions.)
Teachers and medical workers I can understand. They practice professions in which their whole professional life involves helping people.
And now accountants. Perhaps the Communist Party which runs China does not find these events note-worthy. But you and I and the rest of the world know better.
