The Appointed Ones. And Their Partners.

Two of the women in this photograph are appointees chosen by men.  Two are spouses (one the widow of an appointee).  The tie-breaker (in other words, the fifth woman in this photograph) is TBD.

This is not a photograph of America, you know.  Women in America, aside from the people in this photograph perhaps, do not need to be identified by their proximity to men.
