Wherever Hope is Written, It is Written in Fire.

There is a grotto at the University of Notre Dame.  It is a replica of the Grotto at Lourdes, France. 

          Students light candles at the grotto.  They light candles when things are darkest and when things are not so dark.  Sometimes the weather is sunny too.

          Out of all the forgotten symbols in the past, the symbol of light stands out.  It shines, you should forgive the expression, this physically acting out a spiritual longing. 

         What an extraordinary thing.  Hope is written in fire.
