I have been in bed with a fever for the past two days. I took two tests: I took my temperature and I took a COVID test. I have a fever but I do not have COVID. I will take those results.
Starting at 7:00 A.M. today, I will be texting with the Poor People's Campaign in the Georgia runoff. Including the past two days, I have sent out 66,845 texts as a volunteer with the Poor People's Campaign to Get Out The Vote in the Georgia runoff. I have also sent out 50 GOTV letters for a different organization, and 100 postcards for other organizations to re-elect Senator Warnock in this runoff. This will not come again.
The Poor People's Campaign GOTV texting is nonpartisan, and we give people resources that might help them. The first is a link to the PPC at https://www.poorpeoplescampaign.org/take-action-this-fall/. This will give people information regarding what the Poor People's Campaign is all about. Two more links are https://www.poorpeoplescampaign.turbovote.org/ and https://www.georgiavoter.guide/, which will enable people who are interested to find polling hours and locations in the Georgia runoff.

Another resource that may turn out to be especially helpful today is letting people know where to turn if they need help getting transportation to the polls. Two resources for this problem:
Two organizations offering rides:

The New Georgia Project is offering safe, secure transportation to registered voters during the 2021 municipal elections. (64 kB)
To iron out issues at the polls and voting in particular, people can call 1.866.OUR-Vote.
Do you have any resources you can share? If you have resources to share, this is a very good time to share them. This will not come again.
