When you say that "she is a good person," you have in mind that she was a good person when you were in contact with her, when she was around you. After all, you have nothing else to go by, than when you and she were in the same place at the same time.
What about the person whose job is so important to them, say, that they do not spend time with their family because they have no time to spend except on their job. Suppose she or he has children but they are not parents. They could never be called a parent, not truthfully. Suppose she or he depends on a spouse to do the job for them, or hires a third person to do the job. Is that person still "a good person?"
Being a good person means something different than what other people think of you. What matters is if you can say about yourself that you are a good person even when other people are not looking at you.
GO FORWARD.
