Do not cooperate in advance. That was one of Timothy Snyder's more important lessons to resist people who try to tell you what to think, say, and do.
Those people may have the power to pass laws. But they never have the power to dictate what you think. Before you try to conform what you say and do in public, be sure that you do not restrict what you say and do before their laws do.
Do not cooperate in advance.
