"JOURNALISTS' SKILLS WERE STUNTED FROM YEARS OF PRODUCING PROPAGANDA."

So writes Ruth Ben-Ghiat in her landmark study, Strongmen 249 (2020-2021).  She was writing specifically about Libya under Gaddafi, but her observation describes 21st Century Journalism in the United States very well, especially since 2016.

          Journalists' skills will improve from no longer producing propaganda in the upcoming presidential election.  We will all be better off when they do.
