CORPORATE SPACE FAILURES, PRIVATE LUNAR DISASTERS. MERCENARY SATELLITES, TOO?

Private corporations have made lots of money from space failures and lunar disasters.  Yet they are very successful in their relations with the news media.  If you listen to or read reporting that comes from national news sources, you would think the opposite of the truth:  You would think that these space failures are successes and that these lunar disasters are someone else's responsibility, namely, your country's.

          Just wanted to alert you once again to the latest corporate space failure reported in our local press here in Central Florida.  This time it apparently took them three tries to get a rocket off the ground.  This time the local reporting went a little deeper and revealed that the rocket lifted off with 23 of the private corporation's satellites.

          This is the same private corporation that I understand has withdrawn or limited the use of its satellites by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, apparently lest the Ukrainians further display the vincibility (as opposed to invincibility) of the Russians.   I understand that some people in Congress are calling for an investigation of allegations that the private company has now made its satellites available for use by the Russian Armed Forces.

          From failure to Moscow.  There are stories here, but they are not necessarily the same as the stories being reported to us.

THE "US" IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS LUNAR DISASTER.  So this is the second postscript or a post-postscript.  I will probably keep publishing articles on this point until the cows come home.

I was listening to a podcast about the control of chemicals at the borders.  A team of young reporters had apparently just finished a splendid series writing on this subject for the Tampa Bay Times.

One of the reporters said that since some of a certain chemical was still getting through customs, "obviously, the Federal Trade Commission" does not stop all these imports.

That made me realize that we, myself included, look at groups – be they agencies or teams or other organizations – as entities with their own existence.  Like the reporter, we look at a group like the FTC, for example, as some kind of giant with its own existence, its own personality, its own vision, etc.  That's not true though.

Groups of any kind are made up of people.  It may be a fact that a certain chemical is still being imported into the United States.  But it is NOT "obvious that the Federal Trade Commission" does not stop every one of these imports.  The FTC is made up of people.  It is more likely, perhaps even "obvious" once you think about it, that the FTC does not have enough inspectors.  There may not be enough people inspecting imports for this particular chemical.  It is more likely to be obvious right after you think about the fact that like any organization, the FTC carries out all its operations with people.

Groups are people, my friend.

LOTS OF MASKS, DISTANCING, ISOLATION IF WE'RE ALL IN DENIAL.

The truth is we are not all in denial.  Most of us in America accept wearing masks, social distancing, and isolation for the good of the country.

Some do not.

Guess who ends up getting the headlines?  The ones who wear masks, or the ones who don't?  The ones who socially distance, or the ones who don't?  Or the ones who isolate themselves from public congregations as much as they reasonably can, or those who don't even try?

Well, the good guys are actually and overwhelmingly in the majority just as they were in the presidential election regardless of the reports driven by fear.

Thoughts on Meatpacking Plant Executive Order From Morning Twitter Feed.

for the actual Executive Order to force meat-packing plants to stay open. Writing on deadline, the reporters could not link to the Order.

I searched the internet and I could not find the order.

Not finding the Order, I searched the websites of the Department of Labor, the CDC, OSHA and other government entities. Here is what I found as of 9:15 AM ET as I am writing this.

There is no authority for an Executive Order, under the Defense Production Act or otherwise, to order employees to work in dangerous conditions including meat-packing plants.

"Guidelines" are not authority to compel employees to work in unsafe conditions, either. At most, compliance with federal guidelines is evidence in defense when employers are sued for unsafe conditions.

Here, where federal guidelines have been made voluntary, there is a real question whether compliance with them is even admissible evidence. The fact that guidelines exist is not immunity from liability, either. The fact they exist is not even evidence in defense of liability.

SO WHAT WERE WE TALKING ABOUT? THE UNREDACTED EMAILS?

So what were we talking about before the drone exploded?

It is hard to recall, which is a measure of distraction in itself.

As best I recall, we were talking about the unredacted emails. An online blog or zine or whatever called Just Security published some totally redacted emails which the current regime had filed in a court file in response to a court order to release those emails. Just Security says that it "viewed" many of those emails, unredacted, and it published them along with the redacted version.

The emails evidenced communications between political appointees in the current regime, and officers in the Department of Defense and in the Department of State, over the illegality of impounding funds which Congress had already appropriated and ordered spent, and over who ordered this action.

One of the more significant emails, which the regime had blacked out, revealed that the head of our government directed it.

That is what we were talking about before the drone exploded.

Since the drone exploded, it is hard to find any reporting in any medium anywhere about the message in the unredacted emails. Keep your eyes on the ball, media. Keep your focus, publishers and editors and reporters. The people could use your help and we are not getting it.

WHERE HAVE ALL THE CHILDREN GONE?

Despite telling a federal judge that children are not being separated from their parents, they are.

Beyond that, the federal government is now telling the same federal judge that the federal government cannot find many of the children. Many children separated from their parents by the federal government, in other words, simply cannot be found, says the federal government.

Where have all the children gone?

Check adoption agencies. Foster care programs. Anywhere where the children who were taken away might be sent away.

Once upon a time, it would have been unthinkable to think of federal agents taking children away from their parents. That was then, this is now. Now, it is very thinkable as it were that federal agencies might just be sending children away. So to say again, check the adoption agencies and the foster care programs and anywhere else that children are up for redistribution.  ("Redistribution."  A concept torn from human services agencies and twisted by the people who order children taken away from their parents like lifeless manufactured products.)

CORPORATE MEDIA DISTRACTED FROM THE SUBSTANCE BY THE SHINY, AGAIN.

Here is another example of the corporate media's feeding frenzy on the old "he said - she said" conundrum:  See Paul Kane, House Democrats Struggle to Break Through When It's All Trump, All the Time, Washington Post Online, posted Saturday, March 2, 2019.

I understand that can be a problem.  But that's not what I see and hear.

The House Democrats are actually doing a pretty good job of solving the problem.  They are breaking through.  Anyone who watches TV, listens to the radio or podcasts, or reads newspapers knows that.
